News SSP WaterPlay become ‘Heroes’ in Roundabout ‘Pumps for Africa’ European launch….. SSP has partnered with Crealy Adventure Parks (www.crealy.co.uk) to help create the first visitor attraction feature that will generate clean fresh water for children and families in Africa & Asia. Featuring SSP’s unique ‘Plug In & Play’ system at the first two attractions in Crealy (Devon) and Crealy (Cornwall), the project (www.playpumps.org) aims to replicate itself in other top visitor attractions around the globe, attracting sponsorship and donations to create real ‘Roundabout Pumps’ in villages across the developing world. Patron Nelson Mandela has endorsed the whole campaign, which launches on April 2nd at Crealy (Devon).
Many organisations and deserving causes struggling to raise funds for their project now have a spectacular showcase to put their proposals to the nation; ITV, as part of their 50th Anniversary celebrations, are promoting funds from ‘The Big Lottery’ and asking the people of Britain to decide. Launched on 30th October on ITV, the program will run for the next 3 years and those interested in promoting their ideas to the nation should contact ITV or the Big Lottery with their proposals……….Click here for more information
PWTAG, the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group have released new guidelines for the running and treatment of water used in interactive water parks. As the number of water playgrounds grows rapidly, the guidelines are designed to provide a point of reference for both installers and operators. A full copy of the guidelines can be seen at the PWTAG website - http://www.pwtag.org/home.html
Recognising the desire to attract and entertain older children in an interactive water park setting, SSP will be introducing new products and layouts to meet that need. Roosevelt Tower and Flick Park are just two new concept designs that are designed to appeal to older children.
